Headlining the party will be Black Joe Lewis, an American blues, funk and soul artist out of Austin Texas. Often compared to the Godfather of Soul James Brown, Black Joe Lewis is back for a rare Twin Cities appearance, after a sold out First Avenue concert in early October of this year.

Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their most Superfly vintage threads, in an evening of 60s and 70's inspired hair, make-up and fashions presented by Jungle Red Salon, and outrageous glamour in the historic Grain Belt Bottle House Atrium, in trendy Northeast Minneapolis.
Rock the Cause is a registered 501(c)3 organization in good standing.Through a special arrangement with our ticketing partner TicketFly 100% of your ticket purchases to Glitter Ball 5 are directed to Rock the Cause. 50% of ticket service fee's are also directed to Rock the Cause. This makes it possible for Rock the Cause to put 100% of the net proceeds, including concessions and bar sales, of Glitter Ball 5 to work in our community.
For Glitter Ball 5 we have partnered with Ampersand Families to help raise funding and support for their mission to connect waiting teens with permanent families. Ampersand Families connects waiting teens with loving families and a permanent supportive home life. They have a very successful placement rate for adopted teens. For helping to make Glitter Ball 5 a fashion sensation Rock the Cause will make a donation to Avenues For Homeless Youth on behalf of Jungle Red's Treasures for Teens Program. The donation amount will be announced in April 2014.
Rock the Cause works to create awareness, support, and volunteerism for dozens of organizations across the local and national community. We do this work through live concert events, in the classroom workshops, and through our record label Rock the Cause Records. In 2013 we gave close to $300,000 to organizations like Childrens Cancer Research Fund, High School for Recording Arts and beyond.
We also helped to enroll nearly 2000 new volunteers for our partner orrganizations, some who report a 30% conversion rate to donor and volunteer. Proceeds from Glitter Ball 5 will assist in supporting our community programs. We he helped Zach Sobiech inspire millions of people around the world with his charitable hit single Clouds.
