17-Year Old Minnesota Songwriter Emily Albert-Stauning Writes Song to Honor Children with Limited Life Expectancy
Song and Video for ‘Don’t Worry’ wins the heart of the music industry and music fans around the world. Proceeds to benefit Crescent Cove a place for respite for families and kids.
(July 7, 2017 Minneapolis, MN) Rock the Cause Records is pleased to announce a new charitable single and music video ‘Don’t Worry’ by 17-year-old Emily Albert-Stauning. ‘Don’t Worry’ is a tribute to children and families served by nonprofit Crescent Cove, one of two children’s hospice centers in the United States. Crescent Cove provides care and comfort to children and young adults with shortened life expectancies.
Emily Albert-Stauning is not your ordinary teen. She is an Emmy award-winning actress who has her own charity program called "Hope For A Better Day", through which she has raised thousands of dollars for those in need within our community. Emily is also AP Honors student and captain of her nationally recognized speech team. Emily will be a senior at Eagan High School this fall.
Emily set out to write ‘Don’t Worry’ to raise awareness and financial support for the mission of Crescent Cove. She shopped her demo of ‘Don’t Worry’ around to multiple music industry people. Her unyielding determination resulted in her single ‘Don’t Worry’ being recorded and engineered by Grammy Award Winning songwriter Kevin Bowe (Etta James, The Replacements, Kid Johnny Lang). She enlisted the help of award-winning video production house LiveWire Films to create a video that tells the stories of children served by Crescent Cove. After several e-mails to Rock the Cause CEO Scott Herold, she signed a deal to release ‘Don’t Worry’ with nonprofit record label Rock the Cause Records. That is a ton of work for a high school student. Ultimately, Emily persisted and got the job done.
I wrote "Don't Worry" said Emily Albert-Stauning “because I want to do whatever I can to honor and acknowledge children and families facing life-limiting illnesses. Each and every lyric in this song is a real child, a real family, and a real story filled with real worries, but more importantly, real love. I want the world to know their stories, not defined by their illness, but for the love, strength, and happiness that binds their families together. My promise to these families is that I will do whatever I can to keep telling their stories because I know that life is not infinite, but our love can last forever.”
Crescent Cove Founder Katie Lindenfelser shared her thoughts on how ‘Don’t Worry’ will impact the mission of Crescent Cove and the families it serves, "Don't Worry" expresses that the light and love that each child has, no matter how short or long their life may be, extends far beyond this world! Emily is a compassionate and brilliant singer-song-writer and her song is a gift to Crescent Cove children, families and friends reminding us first and foremost of the joy we long for and share. Like each child and family, this song will be a precious part of our Crescent Cove mission forever.”
On July 7, 2017 Rock the Cause Records will release ‘Don’t Worry’ worldwide on all digital download and streaming platforms, as distributed by The Orchard a Sony Music Company. Per -Emily Albert-Stauning all net proceeds from the streams and downloads of ‘Don’t Worry’ will benefit Crescent Cove, as administrated by Rock the Cause a registered 501c3 organization.
